Coca-cola Cube Hopper The classic endless runner game reimagined in Augmented Reality

The Coca-Cola app aims to engage and reward consumers on the go. Coke partnered with their mobile agency of record, AKQA, to gain a better understanding of how they might leverage AR/VR to amplify these mobile moments. To kick off, we hosted an AR/VR workshop among key leads at Coke to demonstrate the breath and best practices of the technologies.
The world’s first AR endless runner game, Cube Hopper.
Ultimately, the team launched the world’s first AR endless runner game, Cube Hopper. Cube Hopper is a fresh take on the classic endless runner game, utilizing Augmented Reality. In this game of skill, players must navigate a rolling Coke cap for as long as they can through a treacherous path of slippery ice cubes. Upon launch, Cube Hopper was instantly the top experience for driving user engagement and dwell time within the app, and the genesis of Coke’s AR/VR roadmap to create unique branded experiences for mobile.
